We have two purpose built surgical theatres, one for large animal surgery and one for small animal surgery. Both theatres are fully equipped with gas anaesthesia, patient monitoring equipment and a full range of surgical instruments. This enables the team to perform a wide range of surgical procedures for both large and small animals.
Procedures available include routine procedures such as small animal neutering and laceration suturing, right up to full orthopaedic surgery, including osteosynthesis with steel plates, screws and wires etc.
For horses we offer routine castrations or sarcoid removal and also a full referral service including joint surgery performed by some of Europe's leading equine surgeons.
DENTISTRY
MLS LASER THERAPY
We offer a comprehensive range of dental procedures, including routine scaling for small animals and dental treatments for horses.
The health of your pets teeth are of paramount importance, they are the first stage of the alimentary canal, and for horses they can act as a vital point of communication between horse and rider.
We have the latest equipment for both equines and small animals, and through the use of our diagnostic and surgical facilities, we can carry out the full range of dental procedures, including diastemas and extractions.
MLS Class 4 laser therapy which helps with wound/trauma healing, arthritis, muscoloskeletal injuries, etc. to just name a few. It is pain free and well-tolerated by our furry patients.
We are now also able to offer the MLS Laser Acupuncture Therapy for pets and horses to improve various conditions!
DIGITAL X-RAY AND ULTRASOUND IMAGING
We offer a comprehensive range of portable diagnostic imaging with digital x-rays and ultrasound imaging.
Providing a full range of portable digital x-ray imaging, from bone fracture diagnosis, through to chest and abdomen x-rays.
Our portable ultrasound scanner can be used for diagnosing soft tissue ailments as well as pregnancy diagnosis in small and large animals.
ENDOSCOPY & BRONCHOSCOPY
Through use of our specialised equipment we can image the respiratory tract of your pet or equine, in the event of obstruction or respiratory infections etc.
Upper gastrointestinal endoscopy can also be performed and is used to examine the oesophagus and stomach. Endoscopy can be used to diagnose foreign bodies, inflammation, inflammatory bowel disease, ulcers, tumours, and strictures of the upper gastrointestinal tract.
DIAGNOSTIC LABORATORY
REPRODUCTIVE SERVICES
In our on-site lab we provide a wide range of blood testing, which greatly reduces waiting time for results – a great range of tests offer results within 30 minutes!
We also have a comprehensive parasitology and microbiology lab, which helps us identify and treat specifically the pathogens involved in your animals condition.
We have a full equine reproductive centre, including reproductive evaluation of the mare, treatment of difficult mares, and a full AI service using fresh or chilled semen.
We also offer ovulation testing for bitches to improve pregnancy rates, and small animal pregnancy diagnosis using either ultrasound or x-ray.
